Nevada Pool & Spa Bond Application
Pool & Spa Bond - NV
Before granting an original contractor’s license to an applicant performing work on residential pools or spas, or renewing such a license, the Board has additional conditions beyond the standard license issuance or renewal requirements. The Board may mandate that the applicant file a bond, exclusively for consumer protection, with the bond amount determined by the Board. Alternatively, the applicant can opt to establish a cash deposit with the Board as outlined in this section. The bond amount ranges from $100 to $500,000, resulting in variable costs for this bond. Additionally, the underwriting process for this bond may differ slightly from that of its counterpart, the state license bond.
Failure by an applicant or licensee to file or maintain the required bond or to establish the mandated cash deposit provides cause for the Board to deny, revoke, suspend, or refuse to renew a license.
